When creating a home cinema, the mission extends beyond delivering state-of-the-art audiovisuals. Another important aim is also creating a space that offers profound relaxation for both body and mind.
We recently completed a high-end customization project for a client in the USA that perfectly blends classic luxury with modern comfort. Today, we invite you to take a closer look at the intricate design details of this remarkable case.
The Project Vision: Striking a Balance Between “Classic” and “Modern”
Our client John desired a private cinema that was more than just a room to watch movies. They wanted a sophisticated space suitable for hosting distinguished guests and reflecting refined taste.
To achieve this, We selected LS-881 series, renowned for its classic diamond-patterned stitching and enveloping comfort. And we choose timelessly elegant Deep Blue Velvet as the primary upholstery material.
This choice immediately elevated the space’s texture. Velvet not only offers a soft, luxurious touch but its unique luster adds depth and mystery under soft lighting.
Layout planning: 2 rows (First row of 5 seater + Second row of 4 seater with loveseat + 2 Ottomans)
John has a big family and he also wants to fit more people when someone was invited.
To maximize spatial efficiency and ensure optimal viewing angles, we designed 2 rows seating arrangement:
- Front Row (5 seater): The Versatile Configuration The front row consists of 5 motorized recliners. Each has its own reclining mechanisma and motorized headrest, providing fully customizable comfort, allowing each viewer to find their perfect angle—from the precise tilt of the backrest to the height of the footrest.
- Ottomans: In the front, there are 2 ottomans which offers more seats when friends come to take a visit. When seat is enough, it can be used as a place for resting legs. It offers very good function but also good looking, matching the seats very well. When not required, the ottomans can be easily moved aside to create wide aisles, making the room’s layout more versatile and practical.
- Back Row (4 seater): The Intimate Family Arrangement The back row features a combination of a love seat (two-seater connected) and two recliners on the ends. The loveseats also have their own independent reclining function. This layout balances privacy with interaction, making it perfect for couples or families to enjoy films together. Meanwhile, it saves some space.
Design Highlight:Craftsmanship in the Details
The core of high-end customization lies in the meticulous attention to detail:
- Gold Cup Holders: Each seat’s armrest features integrated circular metallic gold cup holders. The brilliant gold luster contrasts sharply with the deep blue velvet, adding an air of nobility while ensuring a safe place for beverages.
- Ergonomic Headrests: The specially designed, extra-high headrests provide superior support for the neck and head. Their sleek contour also adds a touch of modern sophistication to the overall look of the chairs.
Creating the Ambience: A Perfect Fusion of Retro Aesthetics
John has a very good taste. Beyond the seating, the entire cinema’s interior design complements the luxurious theme:
- Spotted Carpet: The floor is covered with a bold, retro spotted pattern carpet in brown and cream. Its unique texture contrasts with the plain, dark gray walls, adding vibrancy and movement to the space while effectively breaking up the monotony of the walls.
- Classical Wall Sconces: Exquisite, classical gold wall sconces are mounted on the wall panels. A warm, soft glow filters through the shades, casting intimate light and shadow across the walls and creating a tranquil, opulent movie-watching atmosphere.
