Motor quantity used for them is different
The main difference is the motor numbers used in the recliner chairs. Triple power reclining chairs have 3 motors while dual power reclning chairs have 2 motors used in the chair.
Dual power recliner
Dual power recliners means it has totally 2 motors in the chair. When we say dual power recliner, it usually means one motor for seat and backrest. This motor control the footrest and backrest at the same time. So when this motor moves, the footrest firstly open and then the backrest lie down.
Another motor is for power adjustable headrest. People can adjust the headrest easily with this motor.
Dual power reclining chairs are the most common used power recliners for its comfort and convenience. With 2 motors in the seat, you will be sure to have very good sight into the screen and can choose any seating positions.
Triple power recliner
Triple power recliner means it has totally 3 motors. 1 motor for footrest up and down only, 1 motor for backrest lie down and come back only and another motor for electric adjustable headrest.
If you want to lift up your foortrest only but don’t want the backrest lie down, you can choose triple power recliner. All chair parts move independantly without interruption.
Cost is different
Obviously, 3 motors cost more than 2 motors. Generally triple motor cost 48 USD more than the dual motor chairs. If you have enough budget, you can choose triple power reclining chairs.
While if you have limited budget, dual motor is totally enough for use. And 95% people choose dual motor. You can always save the cost of 1 motor for the seat, but never save the cost for the motor in the headrest.
